With this act expressly focusing their attention on returning to the golden age of Christmas songwriting it is not surprising that some very sweet Beach Boys like harmonies form the highlight of this giddy piece of tinsel. And there is a generally delirious demeanour to be lapped up from the off in a fine production for the season that would likely not have darkened our door had it been written about the summer. But hey, dropping your guard and enjoying yourself is just what December is all about – fun, fun, fun guaranteed. KH
