This song really crept upon me, initially passing under the radar but chipping away at my intransigence thanks to a persistent streak of brilliance. That is in part down to the brilliant songwriting from Bostonian Tim Noyes but also because of the true soul that sees the pretty noise dissipate on occasion to leave a naked and bare honesty. It has the power to move and it certainly did that to me. Pop doesn’t need to be cheap and throwaway, it can still be immediate but live forever. KH
