Alexandra Sullivan sure does know how to channel softly sad movements but then with a theme as stark as this it might be difficult to be any other way. The emotional core is the driver but Sullivan has added depth and shade here that exposes a soul that is broken up inside but keeps it together on the outside so the world is none the wiser. We know better which makes ‘Leukemia’ a late night thought provoker that puts things into perspective in neatly melodic way. Hushed beauty and tragedy in one. KH
