You know we could get used to lush orchestral backdrops like this. ‘A Place In The Sun’ makes for authentic pop and as retro heeled as can be, the kind you’ll remember from my parents record collection when vinyl offer that warmth. The harmonies are true and there are times when I wondered how I’d missed Norway’s Dylan Mondegreen (born Børge Sildnes) given that he’s onto his fifth album already. This is too joyous, too accomplished and too multiplied by a thousand other things to resist. KH
