First I was afraid, I was petrified that this was the legitimate successor to Judie Tzuke’s ‘Stay With Me ‘Till Dawn’. But how bloody wrong I was because housed in the shimmering yet morose pop overtures was a splendid indie track with a rolling barrage of harmonies. How ‘Times of Clouds and Sun’ turned on a sixpence, only after a time revealing the real magic within. Agouti are a San Francisco act (‘Nodes’, their debut LP, is out now) who do things their own way and in a same-same world that is truly something to be celebrated. KH
