Ponyboy – Oregon

The Sigur Ros influence is undeniable, but the fact that this 4-piece have emerged victorious in their own right just tells us how good they are. I mean those vocals are choirboy grown-up and still act on an impulse and innocence lifted from childhood. ‘Oregon’ issues percussive elements that pulse in and out focus, strings appear and colour the scenes but most of all we feel a solitary tear down the cheek because Gunnar Cushway chirps and conjures like his very soul is on display. Fragile and quite beautiful. KH
