This is bright-eyed stuff from Indianapolis artist Marcus Wadell, cinematic in many ways but definitely capable of whipping up a technicolour sonic treat. And that is down to a combination of hero vocals and some of the loveliest arrangements I’ve heard all year. And given the time of year it just sounds so timely, heartfelt and capable of lighting up your abode before your turn on the Christmas lights. Faultless hope. KH
