It was my better half who noticed the potential in this track initially (guess I was TOLD). Sure it had me thinking Animal Collective but I hadn’t fully understood the steady hypnotic flows. On the 3rd or 4th repeat everything clicked however and suddenly we were beach-side on a tropical isle and lapping up those ripe melodies. This is post chill/ambient because it has an incessant urge to get us, at the very least, swaying coconut tree like to its electro pulses. Londoner Daniel James Smith operates out of LA and it’s obvious the extra sunshine is starting to impact upon his creative output. KH
