I suppose if I was more on the ball (more Dutchesque if you like) I would have spotted that Jong Pang have nothing at all to do with Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong. They come from a different country for one thing but in my ‘gotta go through as many new bands as possible’ blogger mindset I wrongly surmised that I’d already been there so quickly moved on. Anyway, the Gods conspired to bring me back to their doorstep and I’m glad they did. ‘Small Cut Sensations’ is the first single from their debut album ‘Bright White Light’ and does a very good job of filling every corner of the air that you breathe. A consuming affair then, polished, eclectic and addictive in equal doses. It’s enough to put a spring in your step. KD
