What a strange coincidence. I somehow happened upon a CD mix I put together about 8 years ago and as my head is currently lolloping between flash sleep attacks and throbbing headaches this Swallow track was the one that stuck. Anyway, I did a little research and it transpires that the twin axis of Mike Mason and Louise Trehy are back together again after a decade long hiatus and a new Swallow record called ‘Soft’ is planned for May. I am pretty sure this tune is not called ‘Incapable’ so I’ll put it down to tag malfunction. That said I do love it as the instrumentation engenders some early Spiritualised ruminations (Spectrum b-sideism too) which generally has the effect of rocking my heart into submission. KD

Great news! I’ve been waiting for this album for a few years now. ‘Blow’ still ranks among my top 10 albums. It doesn’t sound like they’re actually back together. It looks like Mike Mason is compiling some old & unreleased stuff for this “new” album. (Unless you know differently.) Still excited nevertheless! Thanks!
