Despite bringing pretty much the same formula to the table every time it’s hard not to be sucked into the world of the Field. This is dance music with cerebral connotations, a swirling mass of electronica that says nothing at all but still steadfastly grips the imagination. This track is taken from Alex Wilner’s (aka the Field) second LP ‘Yesterday and Today’ and includes some tinkering from maths and rocks loving Foals. The intriguing thing about the whole thing is how much our Alex is consumed with the shoegaze of yore so what initially may strike you as a colossus of noise soon ugly-ducklings itself into something altogether more architecturally sound.
