Sounding like a cross between an electro Mew and the best 80’s act that never was Champagne Rioters Caspar Bock and Anders Reuter should be knocking hard on Labrador’s door. That’s because ‘Heart Stab’ has the makings of a classic for the venerable Swedish label, if negotiations break down though perhaps they should give Indiecater a call. Of course we liked CR when they were just Caspar but the plural incarnation has certainly bolstered their output. This tune is an immediate joy, a powderpuff delight that could attract the attention of a wide audience were European dancefloors to look beyond the obvious for a moment. Ibiza, here’s this year’s sleeper anthem. KD
