4hero received a Mercury Music Prize nomination for their ‘Two Pages’ album in the late 90’s but most people know them for their cover of Minnie Julia Riperton’s (who died tragically aged only 31) 1970’s hit ‘Les Fleur’ which featured on a Bailey’s advert in 2004. Sometimes the marketing men get it spot on and this was one of those occasions. Hardly hurt the London act either because they brought out a compilation of their best stuff that very same year. Not a huge gap between this and the original, perhaps a little more pulse and heavier beats but the core retains it molten sexuality. Raise a glass to both of them. KD
