Death Valley Sleepers sound like they should come from a dusty part of mid America instead of a city in Northern Europe. They offer up an intoxicating take on psychedelia that just whooshes about in ever such pretty patterns. Actually before we go any further I must stop saying ‘They’ because DVS is really ‘He’ – Tobias Winberg to be more precise. That said he does tour with more members.’Vice and Beauty’ appeared around 2009 but since DVS appear to give little away in terms of discography I’m not sure if it made it onto an official release. Parts of the song remind me of ‘Lay Me Down’ by the Mock Turtles so Tobias is in good company. KD
