Fluffer – Southpaw

Fluffer

Stripped back to a compound much higher up the metallic rank than brass tacks this Indiana troika (their words) sound really fresh and interesting. There are elements of the ‘The Moon & Antarctica’ throughout their recently released debut LP ‘Skopsi’ which gives many of the songs an unfettered quality ““ the sense that anything can happen, such a rarity. They spring, they unwind, they collapse but must of all they sound a little bit different from the homogeneity that has infected indie over the last 3 years. ‘Southpaw’ is perhaps the most schizophrenic number on the album and each personality trait is one I am quickly making friends with. Hooray for this pleasant box to the face. KD
