If you’re thinking there is no way of escaping this damned season then be assured that Lapland has nothing snow related going on. Not that you’d expect anything of the sort from a Brooklyn artist who is originally from dusty Texas anyway. Josh Mease’s second outing which follows the giddily electronic ‘Unwise’ is a real triumph, a little Orinoco Kid that won’t be hurried nor does it need to be given the riches that it carries. Lapland’s debut eponymous LP will be arriving in March and on this form it promises to be as precious as the air that you breath. KD
