This tune changes tact with such subtlety within the space of a few minutes there is bound to be something for everyone, even republicans. Personally I loved every curvature of its shapeshifting ways. It comes from Bad Wave, an LA based pair of Patrick Hart and Tucker Tota who’ve put it on record that ‘Time To Get Lost’ came as a result of their horror at Trump’s election. The tune is a psychedelic confection of styles, each one of them tilling fertile new ground and all packaged in a swagger that screams we’re-setting-the-new-standards. Sounds like the best parts of an incandescent debut album condensed into a single tune. Genius, and nothing like dejection to spur you onto greater things. KD
