Whimsy rarely sounds this life affirming, I was thinking that this would be just perfect if they ever decide to bring the Wizard of Oz back to life. Can’t you just imagine Dorothy skipping down the yellow brick road with a jaunty melody in her ear and a never say die attitude ringing in her heart. Sarah Wood is a singer of the ages, from a different time when the Andrew Sisters harmonised sweetly about the faraway tropicality of Christmas Island. A future classic perhaps from the Nashville trio, but even if that doesn’t materialise there will be many happy times drawn from its exuberance. KH
