What a debut single and all in keeping with New Zealand’s rich guitar laced heroes. This is steeped in history, vaguely 80’s and with little trinkets of noise that truly sets it apart. The backing vocals appear and disappear regularly and prove an able foil to the Phil Oakley sounding lead singer. And all the while that scheming chord keeps it together with a hook will sink its teeth into your futile resistance. KH
