Oh my, this is a singular vision from Northern Europe – Johan Weber from Göteborg to be precise, a clear distillation of off-kilter jangle, vocals to sweep you off your feet and eventually an atmosphere so heart-rending it could quite easily be the most beautiful thing I’ve heard all year. It is all quite James Yorkston in its adherance to simplicity but somehow out of the organic textures comes a grandiose sweep of intense feeling. KH
