It’s pretty rare for us to feature the same artist in such close quarters but Madeline Tasquin’s talent is indeed a rarity. One with not-immediately-apparent nuance so a degree of patience is required to tame ‘Future Telephone’. But then that is a small ask for such colourful reward. There is a rich hand of vocal tics and intonations but the treats don’t end there as the music entwines so eloquently with those outpourings. While it can come across as quite an odd progression everything comes together beautifully at the chorus. Irresistible stuff. KH
