What a different sound, tropical but with an urban sensibility ‘Keep It Real’ is quite a maverick that will easily infiltrate the dancefloor given how it floats a trance like being come the 90 second mark. Must admit this was more my scene at the turn of the century but with the euphoria hidden from earshot until just the right moment it makes for a rollercoaster ride for even the most decrepit. That the Montreal based CRi professes to take his cues from Caribou makes this track and his work all the more cherishable. KH
