Like Phoenix act Foresteater do here as their shout it from the mountaintops approach approximates an indie anthem that has a certain religious undertow. In truth it is all about putting your best foot forward when the feelings insdie add up to several steps backwards. Much of the joy on ‘Avalanche’ extends from Mikey Pro’s vocals, which offer us a chorus that could easily be postman compatible come the spring. Addictive. KH
