The ratatat and Vince Guaraldi Trio shuffle is the nicest of awakenings for a song that just shimmers the whole way through. It reminded of a little unknown English act named Alfie who specialised in quiet little acoustic backdrops filled with sumptuous vocal harmonies. And ‘Count on Me’ sure is a tonic in a world full of extended and overblown production. New Orleans act Jordan Prince has created a slice of folk/indie pop that leaves you with no option but to throw your arms around it.
