When all else fails you can beat a piece of propulsive indie rock. In this case we get the added allure of dreamy sequences. It calls to mind the Dandy Warhols but perhaps with a foot pressed harder on the pedal. ‘The Tao’ is wind in your hair stuff with intricate playing and crucially nuance to go with the helter shelter romance happening all around. Taken from Ladada’s debut album ‘Heaven on the Rocks’, which is due next month. KH
