Chicago’s BVRTH dishes out an instrumental that is all over the place, spiritual, spacey but with so much character it feels as if Air have returned to their ‘Moon Safari’ era but this time come prepared with a trailer full of slide guitars. Yep, that is probably a lot to take in but it reads harder than it plays. ‘Oblivian’ sees Derek Virta at the wheel and he takes us on a tropical popsical ride that may also invoke a mild psychedelic effect for those who tend to acquiesce to the music. Dizzying. KH
