If your nose reaches for a Candy Claws/Cocteau Twins confection then ‘Fime’ could well sate your pure dreampop tendencies. It’s a slow burner for sure, but Maxine Garcia’s indie gal vocals and those softly intense arrangements will properly restore the romantic inside of you. The near gospel chorus almost brought me to tears but the absolute sealer was the jangle that appeared from nowhere and added icing to a tropical island 90’s swoonery. KH
