Always an occasion for salivating when Austin’s Indigo Bunting hove into view as they have a particularly rarefied nose for all things Beach Boys. And while the sugared harmonies are layered on liberally there is always the nagging feeling that the narrative isn’t exactly bubblegum but more the kind that sticks to the bottom of your new trainer. But then we all need to be reminded that life is a struggle rather than a bed of roses. ‘I Fell Through’ is orchestrated indie pop for the discerning alt type. KH
