Wings of Desire – Better Late Than Never

‘Better Late Than Never’ gets traight into it, just the way we like it and might as well seeing as we’re just getting older. No need to faff about when there are riffs to fire off and busy keeping up appearances in that general adhesion to indie rock anthemism. ‘Better Late Than Never’ is a sop to fans of old school Arcade Fire and A House in the process. What is most dramatic here however is that duo Wings of Desire don’t let the tune flag for a second, in fact if anything there is a continual ramping up of the invective. It is an angry and we need more of this to offer agitation rather obedience in an increasingly servile world. KH
