What a lively discourse this is, 80’s inflected to a fault but with with a singer that took me back from the precipice of all that retro elegance overdose. And it was there that I found myself a hook, the words becoming clear as we sat on the coattails of a lead who just knows that when you go for it you really have to go for it. And we get that love has passed him by because all of us have been there at some stage. As a package ‘Lost Anyway’ is persuasive and though I’ve fallen through the cracks on most of this 80’s revivalism this track proves to be different gravy altogether. KH
