Pastel Coast – Helios

That is a great name for a band and I was hoping for a tune in pastel colours to match it. And you know it couldn’t have started out any better, all tropical swirls with a preference for the electronic side of things. The vocals gave us a little Postal Service but the whole effect was one of returning to something we have lost over the years, namely getting back to a more innocent 80’s template and playing the music like it was intended to be accompanied by fun, forgetting our worries for a few minutes and just drinking the sunshine that is life itself. ‘Helios’ comes from a Northern French band who have generated light and airy to give the very fabric our day a badly needed makeover.
