Shady Baby – Come To Life

It is so good to see Supergrass listed in Shady Baby’s influences and I completely get why they are there for there is something of a gem of fresh and youthful proportions here that could have come from ‘I Should CoCo’. The Brighton band appears to have tapped into an elixir and it means we might just have our first anthem for the summer of 2022 in ‘Come To Life’. There are echoes of the Jesus & Mary Chain (and early Primal Scream) but with the shackles off and just going for it it’s as if the beach is drawing into view and the surfboards have been fully waxed up.
