A psych workout I thought to myself with plenty of 80’s undertones but not in a Stranger Things kind of way, more a shopping experience soundtrack where the patrons need to be in a chipper mood to enhance their mood and add bulge to their baskets as a result. And so I came to the conclusion that Alan Parsons might be very happy with himself with a tune such as this, not least because the chorus is an absolute banker to turn days around. A winner from Doc Rhombus, a pop conviviality that will go down well in any decade from the last five. ‘All My Friends’ opens Doc Rhombus’ new album ‘Retroactions’. KH
