CMON CMON – Waiting

Oh yes this is indie-rock with that 90s finesse, the kind that has several gears but is beholden to the need for melody at every turn. In other words the kind of band (Belgian trio reformed after 20 years to make the kind of sound they remember as vital) we’ve been looking for ever since the Lemonheads stopped recording for there is a slacker quality amid all dashing about and creating lots of dreamy noise. That they’ve achieved it all within 2 minutes makes ‘Waiting’ even more of a thing of beauty. It’s perfect in fact. KH
