Drook have been knocking on our door for some time and up to now we’ve kept the bolt on but ‘Life In Estates’ marks a turning point, so no longer can we resist Liza Grishaeva’s vocals that are full of yearning. That combined with a chiming soundtrack that ebbs and flows and at times reaches for heartbreaking dreampop, the struggle against the world turned into beautiful sound. And why stop there because with Drook upping the ante and pulling at the heartstrings in ever increasing ways this track assumed the status of occupier of our house and heart. KH
