Tiny Blue Ghost – Lavender

It sort of falls over itself, in a glorious ramshackle way so naturally I was drawn to its dreamy clatter. That it was all topped off by a singer who resides amid the tangle of sound to just add to sunshine that I was feeling inside. This is so derived from the 90’s it could be peak shoegaze/dreampop with a young Sinead O’Connor adding the requisite ethereals. I might have not changed my listening rulebook for some time but there’s a reason for that because bands such as Tiny Blue Ghost keep throwing us such beauty. And there’s plenty more of it on current LP ‘Between the Botanicals’. KH
