Bleary Eyed – Run

What a different kind of swirl this is, a troupe following their own instincts for a change and with the imagination to make what emerges palatable for the rest of us. ‘Run’ is completely immersive, not that we were resisting because there is a element of My Bloody Valentine (and A Sunny Day in Glasgow) here that has been built upon to turn loveless into lovely once the listener is able to pull the multi-stranded enterprise into a manageable whole. I just about did to be left sated beyond my wildest musical dreams. KH
