Montauk Hotel – Dive (Come Afloat)

You know it is really rare for an Irish band to sound like this, there was a time when Dead Elvis records ran the show and it could have become a scene so I was very glad to hear that Dublin three-piece Montauk Hotel are taking up the mantle. And there is a twin-pronged delight exhibited here, the jangle is one thing but ‘Dive (Come Afloat)’ is also flush with heavenly vocal harmonies. So very 90’s, indie pop allure and the kind of fare that is our stock-in-trade. Faultless stuff. KH
