Low-Res – Stigma

Now that does sound like a bit of Jean Michel Jarre to me but then how do you explain the Johnny Rotten (Johan Hinders) like vocals on mic. It is clear that there is plenty of punk at play here too from this Swedish act as a result. The effective is abrasive to some extent but looking beyond that there is a chorus here that felt as if belonged elsewhere, Adam & the Ants for example, but definitely taking the edge off proceedings for me. This is a colossus of a sound, one that took some time to break through and the revelation of the brilliance that it is. KH
