Opera – Parallel Lines

There’s something new occuring here, chords at first and then a lead singer who feels like he is shooting the breeze and it is a squally affair. In short Opera appear to be doing the indie rock thing in a fresh manner and as such ‘Parallel Lines’ is to be celebrated. Not least because it is noisy, unkempt but with a grounding in melody generating so everything else can be forgiven. The bedrock indie-rock sound from Boston. KH
