The Kantors – Inside Joke

Love when an act goes off on a tangent, follows their own internal compass and so we’re privy to something new and different. The bass and vocal tracks here are suggestive of such a creative and ‘Inside Joke’ also sees fit to go all cinematic on us at a chorus that feels like it will need a big auditorium to make good on its promise. Chicago’s the Kantors push and prod and so it is easy to see why we folded under the pressure to fall in love with here. ‘Inside Joke’ is at once old and new, innocent and worldly wise and with the strings lighting up the backdrop it felt like the alchemy we needed.
