Peli Gene – Now You Know

I was getting that old shoegaze twist in the gut of yore once the guitars took off on a form of Chapterhouse (‘Pearl’) rampage and Peli Gene kept that feeling bubbling over via vocals that have all sorts of dreamy going for them. Ever so immersive, a song that produces us the sun, moon and stars and crucially delivers it in a intense swell of beats, jangle and those soaring words. For such a noisy proposition it is such a sweet experience, the exuberance just rubs off on those who crave the big montages of sound of yore. And all from Gabe Parker’s home studio in Tampa, Florida. Spectacular stuff. KH
