A Beacon School – Alone

If A Beacon School have thought us anything it is that there is several ways to skin a dream pop track and ‘Alone’ is the third such number from them this summer that arrives at a hill of melodic structure. Not least for the momentum as the track is notably quick on its feet and in less skilled hands that frantic side might have overrun the harmonies and general sweetness that fills the air. A Beacon School can mix it up too, a sequence where the guitar crunch imperiously is evidence of that, and so there is a whole lot of greatness to swill down like the last cocktail of the season.
