LA River Crossing – Big Strong Man

Some very lively percussive effects here and it meant that LA River Crossing had our ears cocked from the off and especially when those lonesome strings kicked in and illustrates that ‘Big Strong Man’ is going to be an exercise in contrasts. Not least the presence of a singer who can channel vulnerability with a classic purveyor of classic sixties pop. Makes for an illuminating and uplifting listen and one with so much melodic brio it deserves a rerun every time the happiness index dips. The introvert’s go-to anthem has landed. KH
