Solomon Foster – Emma Said

You know it does rustle along at a pace but never feels like it is going to overwhelm us and that may be down to Solomon Foster’s classic lean into folk qualities. But the swell of passion will not be contained and at times ‘Emma Said’ amounts to uplifting sermon from the mount that came close to having the hairs standing on the back of my neck. The vitality is clear for sure and when that chorus kicks in and that subtle and wonderful change of intonation becomes apparent the beauty is entirely evident. ‘Emma Said’ is taken from Solomon Foster’s LP ‘Every Growing Thing’.
