Chace Saltzman – Other Coast

There is definitely shards of the My Bloody Valentine sound, jettisons from ‘Loveless’ and in a manner that is not unlike a ballad that has been caught up in a firestorm of noise. ‘Other Coast’ really does add something new to something old and cherished as a result, perhaps this is neugaze making a new avenue of possibility for itself and if that is the case Canada’s Chace Saltzman appears to be well positioned to take the lead. i just love uncontained noise like this, but ‘Other Coast’ really flies in its alter ego. Bracing stuff. KH
