Dead Heart Bloom – Better Than Most

Does have a straight ahead indie-rock quality and you know what that is just exactly what we need every now and then, especially when ‘Better Than Most’ is dished out with such anthemic reasoning and includes a chorus and instrumental break that gives the piece plenty of peaks. I do think Dead Heart Bloom (Boris Skalsky, Paul Wood and Jason Molina) have hit upon something pure here, melodic and uplifting with the common touch that might see it extend beyond the sideline hoggers like myself. A splendid work. KH
