The Coo – Something’s Turned

That is slowly draped hands over an acoustic guitar alright but we wouldn’t have it any other way for the Coo have a pair of singers at the helm who make the most of the quiet surrounds. ‘Something’s Turned’ is that rare occurrence in fact that benefits from minimalism because it is the words and the way they are expressed that matters most. That being said there were some lovely chords turns to brighten up the backdrop, so when the hush descended in they stepped to keep that inexorable flow intact. I think I am in in love. Devastatingly beautiful stuff from Matt Arthur and Jara Holdert. KH
