Yune – Cake – mp3hugger

Now that is wild playing, artistic howling and altogether experimental bee sounding but Yune are even more than that because ‘Cake’ unravels out of that early tangle and into a groove that makes for persuasive stuff. In fact it took me back to another time, the blend of rock and baggy swaying that has some Madchester consistency. Can see how you could also join the Deerhunter dots and even make a sneaky stretch to Pavement. It is not at all obvious, but I not only wanted ‘Cake’ I was also going to swallow it whole. KH
