Any act who put Curve down in their list of influences must be taken seriously and by the sound of the electro pulsation of Jalen Rose they haven’t strayed too far from that nuanced template. If anything they have more of a melodic Cocteau Twins quality and that just adds to the spectacular swirl. Means LA’s Kai Tak and friends put us into an immersive arrangement that fills every pocket of space between our ears. Uplifting and disruptive aural romance is always a winner in our book. KH
